MAGNETIC SLOT WEDGES FOR USE IN OPEN SLOT ELECTRIC MOTORS Magnatuff is a magnetically conductive glass cloth laminated composite, suitable for use in Class F insulated electric machines (conforming to G-11 specifications), as Slot Wedges in stators of open slot designs. Motor Slot Wedges are made of fiberglass or E-fiberglass and epoxy resin. 2 F-class and B-class insulation 3. High electrical and thermal resistance combined. Characteristics and property. Tightness of stator wedges in motors or generators. If the wedges are loose, this may allow stator coils or bars to vibrate in the slot, leading to insulation abrasion and a ground fault. SPIndustries was founded in 1996 in Baden, Austria. At this time its Main Focus was the Trade of Electrical Insulating Material as well as the Production of Magnetic Slot Wedges.

Due to the growth of the Company and the Market Demand, SPIndustries decided in 2000 to build a Production Site in Hungary close to the Austrian and Slovakian Border. As soon as the Production Site was finished we had the Opportunity to produce Stators and other Electrical Motor Components for several well-known Companies which were trying to outsource their Production to a low labor Cost Eastern European Country.

After successfully establishing the Stator Production, more Companies saw the Possibilities as well as the high Quality SPIndustries offered to them and we had to build further Production Sites. (Mosonmagyarovar, Eastern Hungary, De Leon Springs - USA)

Currently SPIndustries is the European Market Leader in the Field of Magnetic Slot Wedges.
